Rochester Symphony Guild History
The Rochester Symphony Guild (RSG) was formed in 1978 to promote and support the artistic endeavors of the Rochester Symphony Orchestra (RSO) by hosting four fundraisers each season with the proceeds going toward helping support symphony concerts. Included is a Christmas luncheon with musical entertainment, Fashion Show and Boutique, Afternoon Tea and Taste & Tunes-an evening of dinner and entertainment. Guild members also host a refreshment table during intermissions at each concert and serve as ushers.
Guild membership is comprised of 62 women who work tirelessly to support the orchestra through fundraisers and helping to publicize upcoming concerts.
A luncheon/business meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Twp. at 11:15 a.m. (except Dec., June, July & Aug.) Featured is a note-worthy speaker or musical entertainment.
Guild membership is open to anyone interested in furthering these goals while meeting friendly people and supporting a first-rate high-quality orchestra. For more information, please call RSG Membership Chairperson at 248-340-9215.

Since the inception of Rochester Symphony Orchestra in 1961, the Orchestra has strived to share the enjoyment of making music with the public. The Rochester Symphony Guild seeks to keep that tradition alive and promote the Symphony’s music. We encourage our Guild members, their families and friends, and the members of our community to attend the Symphony’s concert series.
The Guild’s general luncheon meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month starting in September through November and then January through May. This year our meetings will be held at the Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Township. Our membership is open to everyone, and we encourage you to come and join us in our support of the Symphony. Each month we have either a guest speaker, a musical presentation, or someone from an artistic field at our luncheons.
The Guild also supports the Symphony through our four fund raisers each year. Our fund raisers are open to everyone, and we encourage you to please attend and help support the Symphony. Please review our events for the 2025-2026 year in our Festival of Parties brochure.
For further information about these events or to join the Guild, please call: 248-340-9215.
Sincerely,
Eileen Tschura, Rochester Symphony Guild President
