Conductorʼs Circle ($1000+)
A letter from the President:
November 1, 2017
Dear RSO Members and Friends:
We know so many of you personally and it is not always easy to ask friends for money. We do so because we are passionate about our community and its cultural resources. That is what makes this a great place to live. We believe you feel the same way about your orchestra and we need your help to keep the music alive.
Why your gift matters.
Ticket sales provide less than 50% of the budget needed to support a professional orchestra and you have come to expect excellence from your orchestra. You have come to expect us to bring talented professional guest artists and feature the finest young artist at the May concert. Thanks in good part to your support for over 5 decades, the Rochester Symphony Orchestra continues to meet those expectations.
Our budget has been impacted by the public defunding of arts and humanities with more organizations asking, and less to go around. Private donations like yours are necessary to continue providing vibrant cultural resources where you live. In particular, the free summer Concert in the Park has been enthusiastically enjoyed by all generations and has become a highlight of the Kiwanis summer concert series. Our goal is to raise the money to continue this concert.
Music and Taxes.
As the close of the tax year approaches, it becomes possible for those of you who wish to contribute to the orchestra to do more and incur less personal financial impact when you do so.
If you want to make a more notable tax-exempt gift, consider a Chair sponsorship for $1,000 or by generously becoming a contributing concert sponsor for $5,000. Regardless of the amount, all donations are tax-deductible. Please know that all contributions to the RSO are significant and appreciated.
The Christmas Concert is scheduled for December 9th at St. Paul’s Methodist Church. Please go to www.rochestersymphony.com for further concert information. We hope to see you in the audience soon.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Rochester Symphony Board President
P.S. Pass the hat – word of mouth is impactful. Please share your passion with friends, family and business associates.

Performance Partners Annual Fund Campaign
Every gift tells a story when each and every donor, musician, ticket holder and student who benefits from RSO programming also has a unique story to share. Stories of gratitude, inspiration and purpose. But without your Performance Partner support those stories could end… What’s your story?
Your Performance Partner Annual Fund gift makes all stories possible.
The Performance Partners Annual Fund is the RSO’s Top giving priority. Since the proceeds directly support day to day operation of the RSO, the gap between ticket sales and expenses is cleared. When you become a Performance Partner you put music in the community. We need your financial support to keep the music playing each and every year. Please donate today so the stories continue!! You can also visit the Rochester Symphony Guild Tab to view the list of Festival of Parties events. These events celebrate the RSO as well as provide a wide variety of social events throughout the season.
